The question regarding the user’s privacy is very important to us! The purpose of this privacy policy is to demonstrate what personal data, Niup Technologies Ltd., will collect, how it will treat it, and for what purpose.
Our existence is grounded with our product ecosystem, of which niup.me is a key part. Simply, it’s described as an authentication system to allow access to information, through assigned permissions, at the time of representation. This authentication can be performed on other websites, software, and systems, hosted on our servers, or the customer's servers. In consequence of that, the niup.me services can be provided, at the same time, services from other platforms. Sometimes, the Privacy Policies of these platforms will be applied, and these will be available, on their respective websites.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) – Regulation (UE) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council – it’s admitted that all personal data that is provided is subject to computer processing and will appear in the Niup Technologies Lda., databases. In that way, all data collected will be processed following the RGPD, ensuring the confidentiality and security of personal data provided by the niup.me user. Unless required by the law, these won’t be shared with any other entity.

Authentication through the niup.me system collects the following user’s data:

• Login data on the website, www.niup.me to deliver a better user experience, according to language - IP address;
• Data that user voluntarily provides in the registration form, including first name, last name, and e-mail address, for account validation;
• Data used when the login is performed and only the language is filled in, so there is an update of the system in that language, making it easier for the user to understand.

The processing of certain data, on our platform, occurs for the following outlined purposes:

• Communicate with the user;
• Providing and accessing services that satisfy the needs of our users;
• Maintenance and update the services to provide a better user experience;
• Development of new products and functionalities;
• Provision of personalized service;
• To detect, prevent, or otherwise address technical, fraud, abuse, or security problems related to our services;

This section describes the main controls to manage user's privacy on our platform:

1. Manage, review, and update user’s data:
   • When the user logs in, and access the services that he is using, has the opportunity to review and update his data;
2. Remove, delete user’s data and account:
   • The user has the right to delete data from his account. However, some data can’t be deleted, for example, first name, last name, email address, language, and country. If the user wishes to delete such specific data, he must permanently delete his niup.me account.
3. Activity controls:
• The user can control the login activity history (IP, user, source application, and date/time) on the systems that he uses, both of the user and users accessing under its permission;
4. About the user:
• On the niup.me system, the user can control what other users can see about him, as well, as how his data is used, in other systems on his behalf.

When it’s the user sharing your data:

1. The user controls how the sharing is performed, either publicly or anonymously;
2. When the user is logged in and interact with some services, his first name, last name, and profile picture become visible;

When user’s data is shared by the platform:

User's data isn't shared with companies, entities, and individuals external to the platform, except in the following cases:

1. Explicit consent of the user for the use of his data outside the universe of Niup Technologies Ltd.: in situations of external processing, such as for service providers that support the platform (helpdesk service);
2. For legal reasons in compliance with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental enforcement request;
3. Investigation of potential violations of the Terms of Use;
4. Detect, prevent, or otherwise solve technical, fraud, or security problems;
5. Protect, against harm, the rights, property, and safety of the platform, its users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

• The user has the right to access his data. To do so, he can inquire about what data is recorded and for what purpose;
• The user has the right to rectify the data collected, change or supplement it if it’s incorrect or incomplete;
• The user has the right to ask who has access to his data, what data is recorded, and who has/have access to it;
• In certain legal instances, the user has the right to has his data deleted;
• In certain legal instances, the user has the right to fewer data processed by Niup Technologies Ltd;
• In certain legal instances, the user has the right to object to the processing of his data by Niup Technologies Ltd.

The system allows the right to data portability.
The data’s owner has the right to receive personal data concerning him/her that has been provided to a person responsible for its processing, in a structured, current-use, and automatically readable format. The user, also has, the right to transmit such data to another controller for processing, without the controller to whom the personal data have been provided being able to prevent this, if:

• The processing is based on the consent provided by the user for certain data entered into the system;
• Processing is performed, by automated means, from systems using Niup.me;

To ensure the security and confidentiality of the user's data, protected databases, encryption, adequate firewalls, SSL certificates, passwords are used, all in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Legislation. Access to personal data is, only possible, for employees who are authorized, have a real need to use the personal data, and comply with the principles of security and confidentiality.
Violations of this Privacy Policy by Niup Technologies Ltd., employees are punishable by disciplinary action. Compliance with the standards and procedures imposed by Niup Technologies Ltd., is periodically monitored.
The data is stored and retained for a certain period, related to the purpose for which the information is being processed. In cases where there is no specific legal requirement, the data is stored and kept for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, otherwise for the period authorized by the National Commission for Data Protection.
